About Me

 Michael Gannotti is the founder and owner of Saint Michael's Forge, a workshop where he crafts knives, swords, axes, and other metal tools for cooking and outdoor activities. He has been passionate about knifemaking since he taking his first class from The Drunken Smithy in Palmyra, PA. He has honed his skills over the years by trial and error, watching other smiths online, and experimenting with different techniques and materials. He specializes in forging unique and functional pieces for use in the field, the kitchen, and hanging for display. He makes a range of items such as meat turners, BBQ meat forks, fire pokers, coffee scoops, and more, using traditional, and modern, blacksmithing methods and tools.

Michael is also an avid cook and outdoorsman himself, and he enjoys sharing his knowledge and passion with others through Instagram, his blog, YouTube channel, and social media platforms. He offers tips, recipes, tutorials, and reviews on everything related to knifemaking, blacksmithing, cooking, and camping. He also hosts workshops and events at his forge, where he teaches friends how to make their own knives and tools, or how to use them properly and safely. Michael's mission is to share his love for knifemaking, blacksmithing, and learning with others, and to inspire others to discover the joy and satisfaction of creating something with their own hands.
