Resources to Supercharge Your Forge

Equipment/Supplies I Use in My Forge/Shop

  • EvenHeat Kilns - In my shop I absolutely LOVE my LB 18. The EvenHeat Kilns LB 18 has totally transformed the heat treating of knives in my forge. It is without a doubt the most impactful, transformational, piece of equipment in my shop.
  • Clark Iron Forge - The 25 ton forge press in my shape has been a real game changer in terms of speeding up processes that require shaping, drawing out, moving steel. Love my press and what it enables!
  • Origin Blade Maker - When it's time to grind I turn to my OBM professional Knife Grinder. OBM has a range of attachments/addons that open up all kinds of possibilities in blade creation.
  • Red Label Abrasives - I have been using Red Label abrasives belts for my 2X72' grinder and they are amazing!
  • Mr Volcano - All my forges are Mr Volcano forges! I also have sourced steel from them as well as my quenching oil.
  • Harbor Freight - I have a slew of Harbor Freight tools in my shop but the ones I get the biggest usage out of each session are the Metal Cutting Bandsaw, my Drill Press, and Scroll Saw. They make so much of what I do possible!
  • Melton Forge Works - From my Mini Swage to my Melton Mallet I have a range of products from Melton Forge Works and they all rock!
  • Water Oak Forge - My first quality hammer (3.5lb), still in regular use today came from Water Oak Forge.
  • Old Hickory Forge - My newest hammer is a sweet 2 pounder from Old Hickory Forge.
  • Christ Centered Ironworks - I have the Mini Swage Stand (right now holding my V1 Melton Mini Swage and will soon hold the V2 model as well) from Christ Centered Ironworks and it absolutely rocks!
  • New Jersey Steel Baron - Supplier of fantastic steels.
  • Pops Knife Supply - Everything a knife maker needs in a one stop shop.
